Who looks after your data

What the website collects and why

When you send a quote request, the website stores what you wrote in the form (name, company, phone, email, city, state, line, machine of interest and message) and the page you sent it from. This serves one purpose only: so that Veiga's sales team can answer your request. The request may be forwarded to Veiga's sales representative in your region, for faster service.

In the plant quote form, the site also stores your job title, your role in the decision, who you represent, the tax ID, the waste volume and the project stage. This form may be forwarded to 100 Lixo, Veiga's partner responsible for the plant project, to prepare the proposal.

The IP address and the browser used to send it are stored with the request, to block bots and mass submissions.

The legal basis is answering your request before a contract (art. 7, V, of the LGPD, Brazil's data protection law) and Veiga's legitimate interest in keeping the website secure (art. 7, IX).

For how long

The request is kept while the negotiation lasts and for up to two years after the last contact. After that it is deleted.

Like any website, the server logs each visit (IP address, date, time and the page opened) and keeps this log for six months, the period set by Brazil's Internet Civil Framework (Marco Civil da Internet). It is used only for the website's security.

Resumes

If you send a resume through the Work with us page, you hand over the file and what you wrote in the form (name, email, phone, city, area of interest, how you found Veiga and the message). This goes by email to Veiga's HR team and is kept on the website's server for up to two years, only for recruitment. After that it is deleted.

The legal basis is your consent, given in the authorization box of the form (art. 7, I, of the LGPD, Brazil's data protection law). You can ask us to delete it sooner, at the email above.

Cookies

The website uses technical cookies: the ones that make the form work securely (session and protection against forged submissions) and one that remembers the language you chose. There are no advertising cookies.

Only with your permission, given in the notice shown on your first visit, the website also uses Google Analytics to count visits and pages viewed, without knowing who you are. The legal basis is your consent (art. 7, I, of the LGPD, Brazil's data protection law), and you can change your choice at any time.

YouTube videos

The machine videos are hosted on YouTube and only load when you click to watch, through the YouTube address that does not set cookies before you press play. From then on, Google's privacy policy applies.

Protection against bots

The quote and resume forms use Google reCAPTCHA v3 to tell people from bots. It only loads when you start filling in a form, and it reads data from the browser and from your interaction with the page. Google's privacy policy and terms apply. The legal basis is Veiga's legitimate interest in keeping the website secure (art. 7, IX, of the LGPD).
